I am thrilled to be back for a third year with DECA U, leading the organization together with this year's talented Board of Directors to deliver the leading undergraduate business experience. In my 6th year of being involved with DECA, and 4th at the provincial level, I am honoured to be serving as President, and look forward to further developing DECA U's professional development opportunities while advancing our competitive curriculum to new heights to ensure that our organization continues to be a challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling part of each business student’s voyage towards business leadership. In between DECA U meetings, I can be found pursuing a dual degree in Commerce and Economics at Queen’s University, where I am currently in my third year of studies. I'm excited to share this year’s amazing journey with each of you as we work towards what will be the most inspiring Provincials Conference & Competition to date. Along the way, don’t hesitate to contact me for any reason – I’d be more than happy to get in touch!

Having been a part of DECA for 6 years, I am pleased to be joining the DECA U family and serving on the board this year as the Director of Operations. I have a deep attachment to the organization and am excited to give back to the organization which has continually helped to guide me through the tumultuous days that constitute career planning. Currently, I am a third year student at Queen's University pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce. Had it not been for my DECA experience in high school, I may never have been inspired to become a business student, nor met some of the most accomplished, competent and eloquent people I know to date. Outside of DECA, I have found peace of mind in photography, baking, teaching swimming and now, travelling as I finish my semester abroad at Peking University in Beijing, China. I look forward to meeting all of you at the 2011-2012 Conference and Competition, and am excited to be such an integral part of delivering the growing experience that is DECA U.

Going six years strong as a part of DECA, I am super excited to be a part of the Board this year, serving the members of DECA U across Ontario and Québec as the Director of Competitive Events. Coming from Toronto, I study Materials Engineering in Montréal at McGill. I can be found loitering at various management networking events across campus, where I sometimes stick out as one of the few engineers in the room. I enjoy a great bite at new places all the time, and am really looking forward to doing a lot of traveling in the year following my term on the Board. I hope you are just as excited as we are about the additions to the competitive events this year. Thank you to all those involved who helped make them a reality. If you ever want to grab a bite and discuss DECA U, or just have a quick question, send me a email. I’d love to hear all feedback on the competition this year. Best of luck to all competitors in January!

Having been involved with the DECA organization for 5 years running, and having had the opportunity to lead the Waterloo chapter, I’m happy to join the DECA U Board family as Director of Corporate Sponsorship to take the organization to new heights. As a co-op student at the University of Waterloo in the Science and Business program, Specializing in Biology and minoring in Management Studies, it has provided me with many opportunities to apply my academics to my work experiences. Aside from DECA, I’m also passionate about helping and teaching others, traveling, running, musicals, food and more food.

This is my 8th year of involvement with DECA as an organization and I’m excited as ever to be working as the Director of Corporate Relations with the DECA U Board this year. Outside of the DECA U family, I am studying Science and Business with a specialization in Biotechnology at the University of Waterloo. The mix between an analytical background and the business application of it has been wonderful and I’m very excited to apply my education to a career. A lover of traveling, sports and great food, I can often be found playing ultimate frisbee in-between classes or volunteering as an English tutor to international students.

This is my first year being involved with DECA U and I’m excited to be working as the Director of IT with the rest of the Board of Directors. I’m currently working on a degree in software design at Queen’s University, where I’m in my third year. When I’m not studying, I like to work on personal coding projects, play soccer, tinker with computer parts, or spend time with friends and family. If you’d like to chat, shoot me an email, I’d love to hear your feedback on this year’s website!

I am pleased to be a part of the DECA organization for the second year in a row now, with this being my first year involved with DECA U. I am working alongside this great group of Board of Directors, as Junior VP, planning an exciting year of events for you. One of my focuses is the launch of the DECA U View, so any input and comments throughout the year would be greatly appreciated. Aside from DECA, I am just starting my studies in Accounting and Financial Management at the University of Waterloo. I am looking forward to these next few years, and where they can take me. For now, I look forward to seeing you all at our provincial conference!
